Compassion through selfless sharing is The Way

love over hate

"Compassion is the very essence of an open
heart and must be cultivated upon our journey."

teach compassion

"Compassion is antidote to fear of death,
because it expands one's boundaries
beyond what can be lost
.

Conversely, fear of death blocks compassion
by shutting us in and making us small.
And fear of death is built into our ideology
- the self-definition implicit in objectivist science.

Compassion saves us from our limited ego-selves,
breaches the fortress of our separation,
rescues us from the inevitable Hell
that our addiction to control creates."
- Charles Eisenstein

Compassion is patient,
Compassion is passionate,
and is not jealous;

Compassion doesn't brag
and is not arrogant,
does not act unbecomingly;

doesn't seek to own,
is not easily provoked,
doesn't take into account a wrong suffered,
doesn't rejoice in unrighteousness,
but rejoices with the Truth;

Bears all things,

Believes all things,

Hopes all things,

Endures all things.

I Corinthians 13: 4-7
Saul of Tarsus

"When I speak of compassion I am not speaking of some sentimental and weak response.

I am speaking of that force which all of the great religions have seen as the supreme unifying principle of life.

Compassion is the key that unlocks the door which leads to ultimate reality.

This Hindu-Muslim-Christian-Jewish-Buddhist belief about ultimate reality is beautifully summed up in the first epistle of Saint John:

'Let us have compassion for one another; for compassion is of the Creator and everyone that has compassion is born of the Creator and knows the Creator. He that has not compassion knows the Creator not; for the Creator is compassion. If we have compassion for one another the Creator dwells in us, and his compassion is perfected in us.'

Let us hope that this spirit will become the order of the day." - MLK

"Every human being on this earth is born with a tragedy, and it isn't original sin.

He's born with the tragedy that he has to grow up and a lot of people don't have the courage to do it.

The truth is that there is only one terminal dignity - compassion.

An individual story of compassion is not important - what is important is that one is capable of compassion.

It is perhaps the only glimpse we are permitted of eternity." - Helen Hayes

true compassion lives in the here and now

"Large creatures lavish far more care upon there young. Longevity requires creatures to interact with their own species over longer periods of time. Lengthy nurturing periods for the young help create a complex pattern of social behavior that makes altruistic behavior advantageous.

When examining particular social interactions in ancient times, there is a need to avoid assigning contemporary values of costs and benefits, rather than those appropriate to those in a primitive hunter-gatherer society.

We have inherited a liking for sugary and fatty foods - a fact that the food industry and its advertising agencies remorselessly exploit. Our instinctive liking for such foods is probably a remnant of the huge calorific benefit of these scarce resources for early hunter-gatherers.

Analysis of optimal behavior patterns applies to sharing food, exchanging services, exercising care over the young, hunting on behalf of others, and so forth.

Analysis of optimal behavior patterns leads us to expect that the tactics of bartering, and of games of strategy, will be activities for which humans possess a transcultural affinity.

Analysis of optimal behavior patterns shows how social interaction - in particular, the repeated social interaction that derives from longevity and large size in conditions where individualism did not pay - has unexpected consequences for the evolution of patterns of behavior that appear, at first sight, to run counter to the expectations of natural selection.

If we made contact with an extraterrestrial society, we might expect that it evolved from patterns of behavior that were once naturally selected for in preference to others.

We should not be surprised, under appropriate circumstances, to find cooperative, altruistic behavior at the root of most systems of religious belief. " - John D. Barrow

ancient greek 'love'

The essence of trust, a catalyst of all friendship and cooperation is a neurochemical that bonds humna beings and eases the natural suspicion of strangers. An added bonus is it makes you happy.

This neurochemical is a hormone called oxytocin which aids in mating among fish, breast feeding among mammals and also promotes trust between human beings.

Ancient Greek has four distinct words for 'love': Agápe, Éros, Storge and Philía.

Agápe is unconditional compassion for all existence.

Éros is passionate 'love' or lust - the sensual erotic desire of sexual possession of another.

Storge is familial loyalty.

Philía is virtuous loyalty displayed through affectionate companionship over time.

Philía has four children: two sets of twins ~ !

Each set of twins have been poloraized into the duality of good and evil. Two forms of inwardly expressed "compassion" in Philía suggest two forms of outwardly expressed "compassion" in Philía.

Feelings vacillate. One can be enamored and awed by self. One can be enamored and awed by another. One can care about oneself or one can hate oneself. One can care about another or one can hate another.

Narcissists, even though they gaze longing into the pool, can never actually see their own reflection. Narcissists are blind to their own actual self because they have hidden that self away behind the mask they wear. Although they believe they have compassion for their own selves they stand upon on a thinly veiled fear of death, skating on the thin ice of not-life, that can crumble at any moment leaving them falling down a rabbit hole while scrambling to climb out.

An outwardly expressed projection of Philía by a narcissist will appear to be the real deal but it will not be as the narcissist wears a mask that hides those carefully buried self-reflections. This is when Philía's evil twin, the one that lives on the other side of the mirror, rears her ugly head and strikes like a Cobra!

Do not expect the rule of recoprocity to apply to the narcissist or the psychopath !

The Greeks recognized two forms of self-compassion in Philía. In its negative form philautia is the selfishness with wants of pleasure, fame, and wealth beyond needs.

Narcissus, who adores with his own reflection, exemplifies this kind of self-adoration.

In its positive form philautia refers to proper pride in oneself or self-compassion in which you feel secure in yourself and thus you will have plenty of compassion to give others (reflected in the Buddhist-inspired concept of "self-compassion").

Many modern Christians believe that Agápe entails self-sacrifice.

Agápe does require self-sacrifice but not as commonly perceived. Agápe requires self-sacrifice of the ego and a release of the need to control the environment (which includes people) around us.

The Agápe of the Creator and Sustainer is seen most readily by men in Creation.

100% Pure Compassion

Compassion is the finest weapon and best defense.

If you would establish harmony,

Compassion must surround you like a fortress.

Therefore,

A good soldier does not inspire fear;

A good warrior does not display aggression;

A good conqueror does not engage in battle;

A good ruler does not exercise authority.

This is the value of unimportance;

This is how to win the cooperation of others;

This to how to build the same harmony that is in Nature.

Lao Tze

This website defines a new perspective with which to engage reality to which its author adheres. The author feels that the falsification of reality outside personal experience has created a populace unable to discern propaganda from reality and that this has been done purposefully by an international corporate cartel through their agents who wish to foist a corrupt version of reality on the human race. Religious intolerance occurs when any group refuses to tolerate religious practices, religious beliefs or persons due to their religious ideology. This web site marks the founding of a system of philosophy named The Truth of the Way of Life - a rational gnostic mystery religion based on reason which requires no leap of faith, accepts no tithes, has no supreme leader, no church buildings and in which each and every individual is encouraged to develop a personal relation with the Creator and Sustainer through the pursuit of the knowledge of reality in the hope of curing the spiritual corruption that has enveloped the human spirit. The tenets of The Truth of the Way of Life are spelled out in detail on this web site by the author. Violent acts against individuals due to their religious beliefs in America is considered a "hate crime."

This web site in no way condones violence. To the contrary the intent here is to reduce the violence that is already occurring due to the international corporate cartels desire to control the human race. The international corporate cartel already controls the world economic system, corporate media worldwide, the global industrial military entertainment complex and is responsible for the collapse of morals, the elevation of self-centered behavior and the destruction of global ecosystems. Civilization is based on cooperation. Cooperation does not occur at the point of a gun.

American social mores and values have declined precipitously over the last century as the corrupt international cartel has garnered more and more power. This power rests in the ability to deceive the populace in general through corporate media by pressing emotional buttons which have been preprogrammed into the population through prior corporate media psychological operations. The results have been the destruction of the family and the destruction of social structures that do not adhere to the corrupt international elites vision of a perfect world. Through distraction and coercion the direction of thought of the bulk of the population has been directed toward solutions proposed by the corrupt international elite that further consolidates their power and which further their purposes.
