| At this writing 3 cats reside in the cathouse. Baby is the king, Jasmine is the queen and Sweet Pea is the princess. Rollo (unfortunately no longer with us) liked to carry on conversations with us. We needed a place for the cats to be safe that was not in our home. I designed and built a cathouse. It keeps them warm on the coldest nights. The cathouse has four separate compartments. Each compartment has a blanket. Windows screened with hardware cloth keep them cool on warmer nights as the air circulates freely throughout the house. The cats can be found sunning themselves on the cathouse deck in the mornings and the evenings. The feeding area has been divided into four slots so that each cat can eat without being bothered by the others. A shelf with a door above the feeding area serves also to store food for the cats. There is a built-in litter box area which is easily accessible for cleaning from the exterior. |
