Laughing Elk's Cabin
This cabin is a four bedroom, two bath cabin on the north shore of Big Bear Lake at Fawnskin. Maintenance on Laughing Elk's Cabin had been deferred for over twenty years! Upgrades have been deferred since the 60's. This created an unusual opportunity to preserve the existing unique and exquisite woodwork and the original character of the cabin. The heating system has been upgraded to a 150,000 BTU furnace which keeps the cabin nice and warm. The plumbing system has been redone with new water supply and a fifty gallon water heater. Electrical system repairs where made to faulty work and fixtures replaced as needed. Windows and doors were renovated and work properly. The downstairs bathroom was remodeled with new fixtures and tile shower. Cosmetic work was done as needed.
