"We live in
a social feedback loop where
individual comfort
zones interact.
If we
step outside of the social
norms, speak about things that make other
people uncomfortable we need to step
outside of our comfort zones.
The
social response is hostility for impinging on
comfort zones.
A
caring person'snatural response is to
retreat into the comfort zone.
Most chose not to venture outside of the
comfort zone.
Most
certainly don't invade anyone else's.
So
we end up policing and
censoring
ourselves.
We censor ourselves
for fear of becoming the outcast - excommunicated.
We need to face why we accept
this self-imposed mind prison?
We are
supposed to be the land of the
brave yet we cringe over the
slightest imposition to our petty little comfort zones." - Bruce
McDonald
1650 BC Mesoamerican Ulama ritual
founded.
To the Aztec the ball game, known as ullamaliztli, is a
priority.
Ullamaliztli has ritual significance as the ball court
is a mirror of the heavens
existing in the underworld where the sun passed each night.
The
game represented the battle between day and night, and was related to
human blood sacrifices
that were intended to keep the sun moving in the sky.
The ball
represented the head of a
sacrificed victim.
In Tenochtitlan, the ball court was at the foot
of the blood stained stairs of the temple, and
the ball game itself would
often be a scene of sacrifice.
It is believed the losing
coach, or even the whole team,
might be sacrificed.
Some historians dispute this as it was
an honour to be
sacrificed, it may have been the winning team that lost their lives.
The modern-day game has three main forms:
Ulama de
cadera or hip ulama.
A hip ulama team consists of five or more
players (but there could be as many as twelve) wearing loincloths, with leather
hip pads for some protection against the heavy (3-4 kg, around 7-9 lb) rubber
ball.
Ulama de antebrazo or forearm ulama.
Played on a
smaller field, with teams of one to three players and a ball lighter than that
of hip ulama, the games requires the players to return the ball using their
wrapped forearm.
Women often play this game.
Ulama de
mazo or Ulama de palo, in which a heavy (67 kg or 13-15 lb)
two-handed wooden paddle strikes a 500g (1 lb) ball, usually in teams of 3 or
4.
Episodes of mass
sociogenic illness are becoming increasingly recognised as a significant health
and social problem that is more common than is presently
reported.
Between the 15th and 19th centuries, exceedingly strict
Christian religious orders appeared in some European convents.
Coupled
with a popular belief in witches and demons, this situation triggered dozens of
epidemic motor hysteria outbreaks among nuns, who were widely believed to have
been demonically possessed.
Their plight included forced vows of
chastity and poverty.
Many endured bland near-starvation diets,
repetitious prayer rituals and lengthy fasting intervals.
Punishment
for even minor transgression included flogging and
incarceration.
Priests were summoned to exorcise the
demons.
Individuals accused of casting spells were banished, imprisoned
or burned at the stake.
Rebellious nuns used foul and blasphemous
language, engaged in lewd behaviour - exposing genitalia, rubbing private parts
or thrusting hips to denote mock intercourse.
Community members often
attended the spectacles in a daily theatre-like atmosphere while priests would
try to exorcise the demons.
Major convent outbreaks were recorded in
Lyons in 1526, Wertet in 1550, Kintorp in 1552, Cologne and Flanders in 1560,
Oderheim in 1577, Mons in 1585, Milan in 1590, Aix in 1609, Lille in 1613,
Madrid in 1628, Chinon in 1640, Louviers in 1642, Auxonne in 1662 and Toulouse
in 1681.
At Cambrai, France, in 1491 a group of nuns exhibited fits,
yelped like dogs and foretold the future, and in Xante, Spain, in 1560 nuns
bleated like sheep, tore off their veils and had convulsions in
church.
An out-break was recorded in the USA at an Ohio convent in
1880. |
"If I were to sit down with Al Gore, Elaine
Kamarck, Jamie Gorelick and Chris Edley,
I would expect their
explanations would involve more obfuscating policy discussions but it would
ultimately come down to a similar notion of going with the flow.
As
would the hundreds of thousands of highly credentialed, well-paid Americans who
have actively lead the day-to-day implementation of policies that - when we
pierce the veil
- are really dictated by powerful private interests outside of the law as most
are conditioned to believe it to be.
All these policies and actions add
up to genocide - of our families and communities and of all living things, both
throughout America and around the world." -

antiquity and may have biological underpinnings.
The
Septuagint describes the

supposedly degenerate group that God condemned to death for living in a
depraved manner.

humans violently replaced Neanderthals was first proposed by French
palaeontologist Marcellin Boule in 1912.

Neanderthal formed an unique culture different from other
hominids.
They knew how to use

1652 Vereenigde Oostindische
Compagnie, Dutch East India Company, establishes a trading station for
resupplying ships on the Cape of Good Hope.
As the Dutch-speaking
settlers pushed back the frontier, they increasingly came into contact and
conflict with groups of the displaced San.
1691
Trekboers, who derive considerable military advantage from their horses and
firearms, severely disrupt the lives of foraging communities that had been
living in the Cape interior for thousands of years.
San and trekboer
clash due to direct competition for the same environmental resources, namely,
water, game, grazing and access to land, which included the right simply to be
in a particular location at a given time.
San bands suddenly found that
they were denied access to traditional watering places by trekboers who
occupied springs and water holes.
Trekboer livestock muddied and
contaminated water supplies.

Afrikaners enter and permanently settle in Namibia.
Their leader Klaas
Afrikaner fortifies Schans Vlakte, then moves to Blydeverwacht, and finally
settles at Windhoek.
On June 5, 1777 Vereenigde Oostindische
Compagnie Council of Policy explicitly sanctions the eradication of
the San peoples.
Up until the 1790s, state-sanctioned commandos led by
local representatives of the Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie are
provided shot and powder.

mid-1960s James Neel engaged in genetic research on Yanomami
people of Venezuela in the , using a
virulent measles vaccine to
spark off an epidemic which killed hundreds and probably thousands.
Neel
feared that in modern societies "superior leadership genes would be swamped by
mass genetic mediocrity".
"The political implication of this fascistic
eugenics is clearly that society should be reorganised into small breeding
isolates in which genetically superior males could emerge into dominance,
eliminating or subordinating the male losers in the competition for leadership
and women, and amassing harems of brood females." - Terry Turner, Cornell

Ethnic cleansing is a literal translation of the expression
'etničko čićenje' in Croatian.
Mass media reports
discussed the establishment of 'etničko čićenje

It referred to the behavior of Kosovo Albanians

1996 Gregory H. Stanton
presents a briefing paper to the
State Department
which includes the eight stages of genocide.
Stanton
postulates genocide is a
predictable process, but is not necessarily a linear process.
The
stages of genocide unfold in a predictable and chronological
order.
Earlier stages continue to operate even as the process continues
to progress.
Stanton identifies eight stages as
classification,
symbolization, organization,
dehumanization,
polarization,
preparation,
extermination and
denial.
