action and reaction.
Each pair represents the male and female aspect of
one of four concepts, namely water, darkness, air and eternity .
Action produces reaction.
The universal law of
reality.
9 Nine is the hermit of the Tarot;
the number which refers to
prophets.
Prophets are
solitary, for it is their fate that none should ever hear them.

Kabbalah Qabbala, Qabba-la-h; also

Hokhmah
(wisdom); Binah (understanding); Daat (knowledge); Hesed (kindness);
