LSD and
other drugs are given to American subjects without their knowledge and against
their will, causing several to
commit
suicide.
Funded in part by the
Rockefeller and
Ford foundations, research includes propaganda,

Mind altering projects go under the code names of
Project Chatter, Project Bluebird,
Project Artichoke,
Project MKNAOMI,
MKUltra, and MKDelta.

producing chemical compounds for use in Artichoke work fell to scientists at
camp Detrick.
They completed more than two years of work on an airtight
spherical chamber in which controlled doses of toxins could be administered to
animal or human subjects so their reactions could be studied.
Officially it was the One-Million-Liter Test Sphere, but at camp
Detrick everyone caned it the Eight Ball.
It stood more than four
stories high and weighed 131 tons, making it the largest aerobiology chamber
ever built.
Around its "equator" were five airtight ports leading to
chambers into which toxins could be sprayed on subjects strapped inside.
Humidity and temperature levels inside each chambcould be regulated
allowing scientists to test the potency of various toxins under different
conditions.
This became America's secret laboratory for what one
official report called "aerobiorogical studies of agents highly pathogenic to

alter personality structure in such a way that the tendency of the recipient to
become dependent upon another person is enhanced.

will cause mental
confusion of such a type that the individual under its influence will find
it difficult to maintain a
fabrication under questioning.
Substances which will
lower the ambition and
general working efficiency of men when
administered in undetectable amounts.
Substances which promote
weakness or distortion of
the eyesight or hearing faculties,
preferably without permanent effects.
A knockout pill which can
surreptitiously be administered in drinks, food, cigarettes, as an aerosol,
etc., which will be safe to use, provide a maximum of amnesia, and be suitable
for use by agent types on an ad hoc basis.
A material which can be
surreptitiously administered by the above routes and which in very small
amounts will make it impossible for a person to perform physical
activity.
New York State Psychiatric Institute, granted the first known
contract for research into psychochemical drugs, is to determine the
psychological effect of chemical agents on human
subjects.

1957 Donald Ewen Cameron puts forward
a bogus hypothesis claiming
shocking patients into a chaotic regressed
state will create the preconditions to "rebirth"
healthy model citizens.
Later
investigations suggest something much
more sinister.
CIA funds
bizarre experiments on
healthy confused individuals keeping them asleep and in
isolation for weeks or
months; administering doses of electroshock thirty to forty times the
normal power; testing experimental drug cocktails which include neuroleptics,
LSD, PCP and MDMA.
The experiments
reduce victims to a
pre-verbal, infantile state.
Records from the Office of the Quebec
Ombudsman show 15 psychiatrists
licensed to practice at
this time making the scenario of a psychiatrist working in

publication of the KUBARK
Counterintelligence Interrogation manual outlining the most effective
method of passive enslavement is social isolation of the
non-compliant.
1959 Alan Ginsburg volunteers
as an experimental test subject for two psychologists at Stanford who give him
LSD.
