Signs of 'disorder' in children includes
the reality testing behaviors
of:
deceit,
breaking rules,
not sitting still or
fidgeting in lines, has trouble
with math, doesn't pay
attention to details, doesn't
follow orders,
the dog ate the homework,
speaks out too often or
just simply asks too many
questions.
All of these
behavioral disorders need to be medicated for life to fit in.
The
Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders lists
twelve personality disorders,
grouped into three
clusters.
DSM contains a category for behavioral patterns that do
not match these disorders, but nevertheless
exhibit characteristics of a
personality disorder.
This category is labeled 'personality disorder
not otherwise specified.'
It is a requirement of DSM that a diagnosis of
any specific personality
disorder also satisfies a
set of general personality disorder criteria.
