The
term " GULAG " is an acronym for
the Soviet bureaucratic institution, Glavnoe Upravlenie ispravitel'no-trudovykh
LAGerei (Main Administration of Corrective Labor Camps), that operated the
Soviet system of forced
labor camps in the Stalin era.
The Gulag Archipelago by
Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn is based on the Soviet forced labor and
concentration camp
system.
The three-volume book is
a massive narrative
relying on eyewitness
testimony and primary research material, as well as the author's own
experiences as a prisoner
in a Gulag labor camp.
The controversy surrounding The Gulag
Archipelago in particular was largely due to the way Alexander Solzhenitsyn
definitively and painstakingly laid the theoretical, legal and practical
origins of the Gulag system at the feet of
Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, not Joseph
Vissarionovich Stalin's.
According to Alexander Solzhenitsyn's
testimony, Joseph
Vissarionovich Stalin merely amplified a
concentration camp system already in
place.
According to the Universal Jewish
Encyclopedia the Khwārezm chieftain Bulan was the ruler that decided
the Khwārezm would convert to the Talmud.

saw the barrier between Jew and

Moses Mendelssohn's movement receives the name

Baer Levinsohn became the "Russian Mendelssohn" taking up the idea of Haskalah.
Tsar Nicholas I takes an immediate interest in the movement endorsed by
the highly respected Levinsohn, seeing in "Haskalah" an opportunity for
possibly breaking down the separatism of the Yiddish.
Nicholas I put
Dr. Max Lilienthal in charge of the project of opening hundreds of secular
Yiddish schools.
Russian Yiddish are steeped in Kabbalistic
superstitious
practices and the leadership of rabbis have no intention of tolerating a
project which would lessen or destroy their position of social control.
The rabbis hold all
authority in the Talmud.
Yiddish rabbis understood that the new
education was designed to lessen the authority of Talmud, "of the fanaticism

Majority") were an organization of professional revolutionaries under a
strict internal hierarchy governed by the principle of democratic centralism
and quasi-military discipline, who considered themselves as a vanguard of the
revolutionary proletariat.

July 17, 1918 A squad of Bolshevik Red
Zionist Guard murders Russia's last emperor, Tsar Nicholas II, along
with his wife, Tsaritsa Alexandra, their 14-year-old son, Tsarevich Alexis, and
their four daughters.
They are cut down, on the orders of Lenin, in a
hail of gunfire in a half-cellar room of the house in Ekaterinburg, a city in
the Ural mountain region, where they are being held prisoner.
The
daughters are finished off with bayonets.
To prevent a
cult for the dead Tsar, the
bodies are carted away to the countryside and hastily buried in a secret
grave.
Moscow playwright and historian Edvard Radzinsky announced the
result of his detailed investigation in 1990 into the murders.
He unearthed the reminiscences of Lenin's bodyguard, Alexei
Akimov, who recounted how he personally delivered Lenin's
execution order to the
telegraph office.
The telegram was also signed by
Soviet government chief Yakov Sverdlov.
Akimov had saved the original
telegraph tape as a record
of the secret order.
Radzinsky's research confirmed what earlier
evidence had already indicated.
Leon Trotsky revealed years earlier
that Lenin and Sverdlov had together made the decision to put the Tsar and his
family to death.
Recalling a conversation in 1918, Trotsky
wrote:
Speaking with Sverdlov, I asked in passing: "Oh yes, and where is
the Tsar?"
"Finished," he replied.
"He has been shot."
"And where is the family?"
"The family along with him."
"All of them?" I asked, apparently with
a trace of
surprise.
"All of them," replied Sverdlov.
"What about it?"
He was waiting to see my reaction. I made no reply.
"And who
made the decision?" I asked.
"We decided it here. Ilyich [Lenin]
believed we shouldn't leave the Whites a live banner to rally around,
especially under the present

the Bolshevik revolution - a movement claiming to strip

Finally, to supervise the organization of the uprising, the Bolshevik
Central Committee established a five-man "Revolutionary Military Center" as the
Party's operations command.
It consisted of one Russian (Bubnov), one
Georgian (Stalin), one Pole
(Dzerzhinsky), and two Jews (Sverdlov and Uritsky).
With the notable
exception of Lenin (Vladimir Ulyanov), most of the leading Communists who took
control of Russia in 1917-20 were Jews.
Leon Trotsky headed the
Red Zionist Army and, for a time, was chief of
Soviet foreign affairs.
Yakov Sverdlov (Solomon) was both the Bolshevik
party's executive secretary and -- as chairman of the Central Executive
Committee -- head of the Soviet government.
Grigori Zinoviev

agency for spreading revolution in foreign countries.

collectivization ending private ownership of land.
The state would take
land from its previous owners and place it either under
collective ownership of peasants

The
concept behind agricultural
collectivization is that large estates tend to yield more agricultural
output.
Large farms also tended to be better able to afford machinery
such as tractors and threshers increasing worker productivity, freeing up
peasants to move to the cities and construction sites to aid the
industrialization process.
The Soviet state needs increased agricultural
output to feed the workers in the cities and construction sites.
Peasants, no longer be able to sell grain to the state, watched the
Soviets requisition their grain.
The Soviet state was slow to provide
the necessary tractors and other machinery to the collective farms and this
delay caused a reduction in agricultural output which led to famine.
The
Great Break created a need for scientists to demonstrate their support
to the regime so it came with a Cultural Revolution.
The
Cultural Revolution like the Cult of Reason
aimed at a radical restructuring of the cultural
and ideological life of society.
Previously the Bolsheviks
tolerated “bourgeois specialists” such as medical doctors and
engineers, who
tended to come from
wealthier backgrounds as they needed these
specialists for their skilled
labour.
However, a new generation of Soviet children educated in
Soviet ideology would soon be ready to replace the bourgeois
specialists.
These technically educated students
would later be called “Red
specialists.”
